There are more and more locations that are requiring that vending companies have a strong liability policy in place before they will sign the location contract and before the company’s service personnel can set foot on their property.

In today’s lawsuit happy world if a thief is trying to break into your vending machine and then sticks their hand through the front glass of your snack vending machine and cuts themselves, or pulls a video game away from the wall while trying to break into it and gets shocked, or a rowdy high school kid decides to shake one of your vending machine trying to shake loose a free snack and the machine topples over on top of them, or one of your drivers hit a pedestrian or runs into a building awning, your liable.

Liability insurance is a necessary business investment for any business. More and more locations like hotels, schools, school boards, factories, condos and apartment complexes insist that all of their service providers produce their liability insurance rider with their written proposal.

Vendors are required to comply with all of the rules set up by the wage and hour board, state, county and city and insurance coverage is one of those rules. Small vending companies and a huge segment of the small business community as a whole, noncompliance has been the norm.

  • Employee Insurance is a must
  • Vehicle Insurance is a must
  • Liability Insurance is a must
  • Loss of Business Insurance is optional
  • Partnership Insurance, few need or want it
  • Health Insurance

Every day a small business owner or employee walks or drives out of their business or a client or customer walks into their establishment and the business is not properly covered is a day that could result in bankrupting the entire business because the business was not properly cover.

There is an old adage used by savvy business owners; “if you can’t afford a good accountant, attorney and insurance coverage, you can not afford to be in business”. Truer words were never spoken, every day across America there are small and mid size business owners in court spending tens of thousand of dollars defending themselves and their companies against either a frivolous or righteous lawsuit.

You would be living under a rock or in a cave if you didn’t know that our wacky Congress and Senate are now trying to bankrupt America’s small businesses with their crazy health insurance legislation. Does the problem need fixing? Yes, of course it does. Are they qualified to fix it? The answer to that question is so joke able I wont try to answer it… but I will say both sides of the aisle need to go home and start their own small business because they do not have a clue! But know matter how it shakes out; add employee health insurance to your business plan.

You have to have a well thought out business plan to survey in business in 2009!
